Mission and Social Justice

Holy Trinity’s purpose is whole-heartedly to love God, our world and each other:

  • our worship and service seeks to express our love for God;
  • our fellowship and pastoral care seeks to express our love for each other; and
  • our concern for mission and social justice seeks to express our love for our world.

We know that God so loved our world that he reached out in self-sacrifice to offer hope to everyone, and we know he calls us to do the same.  Our prime focus as a church is, of course, our wonderful village and community.  However, we are also very aware that there is a world of need beyond our parish.  As part of our desire to love our world, we would like to partner with a few organisations who are able to do things that we cannot do, who share our sense of purpose, and with whom we can build a meaningful relationship.

Hope for Ukraine
When Russia declared war on Ukraine in the guise of a ‘special operation’ little did we know that 4 years on we would still be fundraising to help those in desperate need in this war torn country
Eco Church
We believe that caring for God’s creation is not just a responsibility. That’s why we’re proud to be part of Eco Church,a national initiative equipping churches to take steps toward environmental care and sustainability
Yes Uganda
Yes Uganda seeks to improve the spiritual and physical welfare of orphaned and vulnerable youth, including children born HIV+.
Needs + Seeds
The purpose is to support families in need who are known to the Elim Church.

Planning your Visit

gateway-new-to-church-1

Welcome to Holy Trinity Bembridge!

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

8.00am

We meet at St Lukes Chapel for a quiet and traditional “said” service using the Book of Common Prayer.

10.30am

We meet at Holy Trinity Church  for a more relaxed and modern language service using Common Worship with a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs.

For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you are able to park nearby and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

The church is accessible to people with disabilities with  a disabled access toilet, a Loop System and large print service sheets available. Please just ask one of the welcome team upon arrival if you need any help.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the 10.30am service in the Cloisters.  It is a great way to meet people and to find out more about us. You would be very welcome to join us.

What about my children?

IMG 7901Children’s Club, our Sunday School is available for children of 10 years and under every Sunday at our 10.30am service.  Activities vary depending on the age but always include a friendly welcome, bible stories, music & craft.
