A Book I Love
Wrap up a book you treasure. Give it with love. Take home someone else's
The idea
This Advent, we are inviting everyone in our church family to give away a book they truly love, and to receive one in return.
Choose a book that has made you laugh, comforted you, or stayed with you.
Wrap it with no clues at all.
On the Sunday before Christmas we swap them in church, so that every one of us has a gift to unwrap on Christmas Day.
How it works

Sign up on the sheet by the Christmas tree or here online

Choose a book you love: a novel, poetry, cookery, history, faith, anything.

Wrap it in Christmas paper. No titles, no hints.

Add a tag that says only "Given with love".

Leave it by the Christmas tree at the back of church by Sunday 13 December.
The only rules

You must love it.

It must be in reasonable condition.

Give one, receive one: only those who sign up and leave a book will receive one, so everyone involved gets a gift.
It does not need to be new, and it does not need to be religious. Fiction or non-fiction, all are welcome.
The Great Book Exchange
At the 10:30am service, every giver goes home with someone else's wrapped book.
Keep it wrapped until Christmas Day!
